I’m new to this site. I have an interesting story and am looking for someone in a similar situation. I am 32 years old with no children and a family history of premature ovarian failure. The doctor says I will likely have POF. My AMH level is 0.375, dropping from 1.4 a year and a half ago. In other words, I don’t have much time according to them.
My husband has severe anxiety so it’s been a year and a half of trying to get a semen analysis, plus intimacy struggles because of anxiety.
I’m really struggling with all of this. I just want to talk to someone in a similar situation, if there is anyone !
Hi, welcome to the site I have not long been on here myself however have to say that everybody has been so supportive, my situation is not the same as yours however here to listen is it helps xx
I can’t say I’m in same situation but I hope you get your dreams soon. Did you mean your husband still hasn’t given a Semen sample? Or he has now. Because that’s all he really has to do. Definitely push to get your eggs whilst you’re younger because it will be so much harder later in life believe me. So get your eggs frozen fertilised or not.
If he isn’t happy to give samples, have you asked him about donor sperm because that’s what it will come down too. It might spur him to be more active in this journey.
Certainly if you can, get your eggs frozen whilst you’re young, you can go back to them later.
Hi I’m new on here too, I’m 32 also and have been told that my egg stores are below average and also don’t have time on my side as every year I get older they will decrease.
Me and partner have tried 2 rounds of IUI which have failed and now just starting our first rounds of IVF, we have been given a low success rate of just 1 in 10 chance of falling pregnant even with IVF, but someone has got to be that 1 in 10 so fingers crossed.
