Early Blastocyst Transfer Day 5

Hi all...first IVF round, 12 egss retrieved, 10 mature, 9 continued to go to day 3 and then suddenly slowed down. Only one reached to early blastocyst on day 5. They did the transfer and the others didnt make it. Im wondering if anyone has had the same experience and can shed some light..

Today is 2dp5dt of 2 fair grade early blastocysts. We’ve had 4 fresh cycles so far and each time we’ve had 12-17 eggs retrieved and one 1 or 2 by day 5. I think this early loss is pretty normal and just what happens to find the strongest embryos for transfer. Also the first round of IVF is always a bit worse as they try to figure out what works best for your body. You’ve had a great response with this number of eggs collected.

Remember you only need one good egg, so stay positive and will keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Thank you! I tested early at 7dp5dt and it was bfnegative. I have a bad feeling about this... 😔

Hi Furnaz,

I completely understand the desire to test but I think it could be too early to get a proper result. I know it’s hard but try to keep positive and hopefully in a few more days you’ll get a BFP.
