IVF Cystitis

Has anyone suffered cystitis during IVF? Wondering if safe to take the sachets?

''Oh yes! It most certainly is possible. I had one of the worst bouts of cystitis Ive had in years on this cycle. I started with it just before EC & had a 3 day transfer. The day or so after ET, I was literally peeing blood & blood clots was in agony. I went to the emergency doctor as I was in sooooo much pain and he told me to drink bicarbonate of soda. 2 teaspoons per glass of water. I glass an hour for 4 hours. I pretty much didnt get off the loo for those 4 hours but it really helped. He did give me antibiotics aswell called Tenkorex which he assured me were safe to take during pg (I'd expalined re the IVF) but I didnt take them, I was too scared. Anyway, you can see that despite the severity of the cystitis, I got my BFP!

Good luck hun & get trying that bicarb of soda (doesnt taste fab, but hey, if it had helped, I'd have drunk bleach....)'' Hope this inspires you. Also loads of other positive posts on the same issue! Take joy reading! Xx
