Well today was OTD and we got a BFN. Strangely I feel ok and its helped us have closure on my eggs as we have done 3 cycles now and I just haven't got the quality needed, therefor we can move forward in time with DE and have no regrets. We feel lucky we still options available to us and it just means for us being parents will happen just using a different route than we initially planned.
Thanks for all the support of everyone and Good Luck to everyone xxxx
Im sorry to hear that you got a BFN! Im glad that its helped you move on with your decision of DE though and you seem to be at peace with the fact you tried all that you could! All the best going forward!xx
I'm sorry to hear this. You seem to be dealing with it really well. I think your right I think it's not necessarily having the same genetics that makes a loving family. There are lots of different ways to become a parent xxx
Really sorry to hear this and as others have mentioned you have a great positive attitude towards it. I really do hope it works out for you and you get to have your dream family soon. For now make sure you look after yourself and be extra kind to self. Sending lots of love xxxx
the door s nvr close n we go through different alternatives....thats grt that u hv thought positively...good u r kind to urself....tc of ur self dear Button....i hope one we wil reach our destination...
Aww button im sorry 😔 Had to make the same decision but was comforting to know I'd tried a few cycles with my own first. Having had the failures it was easier to make the decision, am now 8 weeks with donor egg 😀 This journey is as much about taking opportunities as letting things go. Totally recommend Barcelona. Best of luck with your next steps, please keep us posted xx
Hi button, yes so far so good it worked first time. I went to the Institute Marquez and they were very thorough, had more screening and drugs to tweak than before just to cover all bases. appointments were by Skype and my local clinic for scans etc to limit the number of trips.
Sometimes I still struggle to get my head around the donor bit but then I remind myself I had no choice and this was an opportunity that not everyone has. Kind of a practical approach I suppose but you get to that point with this treatment when it feels like it's gone on forever and you just need a positive outcome!
Best of luck with your next steps 🍀🍀 please keep me posted xx
Aw thanks for that info and so pleased for you. I feel I have accepted using DE now as it's been in the background for a while, I am actually enough researching and hopefully putting things in place soon. Take care and keep in touch xxx
Thanks button, it's hard to get excited as experience has always been a positive turning negative, but hopefully I'll start to believe soon 😊 Using a donor was straightforward and there's a good supply in Europe so no delays there. I was in Barcelona only mid last month and here I am making midwife appointments! Take care and let me know how you get on xx
I had 3 fresh cycles all private funded, 3 miscarriages including eptopic resulting in loss of my left tube and blocked right tube gave in and went for donor eggs on round 4 worked for us but sadly lost him at 17 weeks.
So just want to say donor does work and I was 41 at the time, thinking about going back for his brother or sister or both xx
Hi button sorry to hear this x I haven't started my 3rd cycle yet as they found out I had high immunes so I'm just about to take the drug that brings them down for between 4 and 6 weeks x and then cycle x
Please do let us all know how you get on with donor eggs !
Sorry to hear about your bfn but glad to hear it's helped you be sure of your decision to try the DE route. Sometimes life has a funny way of helping us! Lots of luck and good wishes for what comes next x
