Just Diagnosed with NASH f2 fibrosis. Does anyone here have biopsy confirmed reversal of Nash? What did you do to reverse your nash?

I just had a biopsy done which showed NASH, Chronic hepatitis like damage, F2 fibrosis (stage 2 of 4 fibrosis/ moderate damage).

Has anyone here cured their NASH and verified with repeat biopsy?

How long did it take to reverse?

What did you eat?

Thanks,

-K

When I was first checked I was at a 17.4 and I weighted 260, now an 11.8 at 200. I wonder what I was at 283 pounds, no one said. So yes it can get better. I will have my 3rd biopsy probably around June as I am in the research program for a cure. They are to have a pill on the market very soon. Hopefully this year.

Hello,

At 232 Lbs and 5'11 feet tall I was diagnosed with stage mid stage 3-4 liver fibrosis in June of 2019. My original biopsy was Cirrhosis, however, after a visit to Mayo Clinic where they did an MRE mapping of my liver, it was downgraded to an "average" stage 3-4 fibrosis. I quickly understood that weight loss was my only hope for improvement and I radically changed my diet and lost 70 lbs.

During that time my enzymes and ultrasound results improved with every visit, and last week they performed another MRE and the results of this mapping showed that my liver is NORMAL! My Mean Liver Stiffness is now 2.7 vs 4.4. "Noncirrhotic morphology of the liver. No suspicious hepatic observation and liver stiffness is now in the normal range."

I basically cut out all refined and added sugars, alcohol, and I limited carbs. Lots of fish, chicken, veggies, nuts and berries. I also used My Fitness Pal to monitor my macro & micronutrients which was very helpful.

Hi I was diagnosed 2 years ago with stage 2 Nash after a biopsy -- I had last hospital appointment 15 months ago --no progression as i had changed lifestyle I had blood tests done 5 months ago and all normal range === there isnt a cure as far as i have been told but you can slow down progression --I have a genetic liver disease as well called Alpha Antytripsin deficiency so my liver is being attacked from 2 diseases

Hi confused71 . I have also stage 2 Nash(at least 5 months ago) and Alpha Antytripsin deficiency. Do you know which exactly type of deficiency you have? In my case it's MZ, but biopsy didn't show any deposits of Antytripsin protein in the liver, but I'm still wondering if it's a main factor which is contributing to my NASH.

Hi I am 75 years old SZ Alpha so i have 2 abnormal genes from both parents --- My daughter is MZ which is one good gene and one abnormal -- which is classed as being a carrier . I was diagnosed by biopsy 2 years ago which didnt show Antytripsin in my biopsy ----my Consultant didnt think my Nash was caused by the Alpha but more likely lifestyle and diet . I worry more having both things going on in the liver .I was shocked with the diagnosis as I have never drank alcohol---prob the reason i have reached the age of 75 . I must say my daughter has had a lot more lung problems than myself even though she is MZ because she has severe asthma ---
