Possible Fatty liver?

Hi! I found this page looking for reasons to my recent issues. I had my gallbladder removed 13 years ago and haven’t had any issues except IBS. Over the last couple months every time I drink I have a dull burning right where my gallbladder use to be. After some drinks this past weekend Along with excedrin migraine Medicine, my dull pain came back and my entire right upper abdomen feels full and I have itching. Any thoughts on what could be happening?

Hi!

I am new to this disease as well but I have similar symptoms as you ...what area do you itch?

I usually have a full right side pain that’s in my stomach and back. They aren’t consistent but thought it was IBS or gallstones because I hear back pain isn’t a symptom of fatty liver. It sounds like it but you also have IBS so it could be that ....

Hi!

My itching is all over really, hands, feet, abdomen, it just travels from place to place. It also seems to get worse at night time.

If you still have your gall bladder it could very well be that. You should make an appointment with your do toe for a checkup.

Well, my suggestion is to see a hepatologist. Drinking is very hard on the liver and those are classic signs that you made it unhappy. Best bet. Stop drinking and get a good workup of your liver status. NASH and IBS often go together. It is important to see a liver specialist as GP's are very poorly trained about liver disease.
