I'm moving from denial to fear. When choosing a liver doc I see most around here are categorized as gastroenterologist listing hepatology as a skill. Is this who I'm looking for or do I look further to find a doc who calls him/herself a hepatologist? While I'm at it, how do you go about vetting doctors to pick one?

I recommend a hepatologist, a real liver expert. I have to travel 300 miles to find one but it is worth it. They are in short supply so you often take what you can get
