when you were first told about your raised liver enzymes or given the fatty liver diagnosis, what did your doctor advise you to do? Lifestyle changes, treatments etc?

The laughing "hyena" I was seeing didn't give me any advice and I tried for months to find out what I could but all he did was laugh and continually laugh and evade all my questions. I am still trying to get answers, plus he didn't even know how to interpret the abdominal scan that his ARNP ordered at my desperate request. NOBODY has been able to tell me anything. I've chosen another Medicare plan with different PCP with hopes of being scheduled with a different gastroenterologist as the Medicare plan I was on last year only had him and his office partner on it. I have been to the new PCP (last week), and promptly requested a referral to be seen by a different, another gastroenterologist in hopes of perhaps finally getting the abdominal scan interpreted. It seems as though nobody knows anything about fatty liver disease. How frightening!!! I barely sleep anymore because this fatty liver disease is so awfully frightening! And to top THAT off, the new PCP tested my A1C blood levels and told me that I have Type 2 diabetes!
