Hi all. I've just joined and looking for support. I first started fasting for health reasons and really feel that for my long term lyme and inflammation that fasting is really important. With more funds and time I'd go to TrueNorth for a supervised fast for a long time but on my own unsupervised I"m more limited.
I'm currently into my third day around hour 60- listening to my body to determine how long.
Open to any encouragement. When I fast it's only water and clear tea - no calories at all. I like Peppermint tea for soothing my tummy.
I firmly believe the autophagy is important when we have any autoimmune or disease in our bodies. I want to be well! And I know toxins are stored in fat so releasing the fat also reduces the toxins in my body.
Appreciate any support!

How many "Fasting Clinics" are there in the world?
I think some health spas do things like "carrot juice fasts" ...but if there is a market for not feeding customers - I am sure that there are organisations happy to oblige.
I was going to fast this weekend - but I think I might fast between Christmas and New Year - might eat enough chocolate and mince pies over Christmas to keep above my target weight!
Hey bellatakescharge
kudos on your fast! My longest so far was 74hrs and like you I let my body decide how long to go for😊
