I’ve just started a very basic IF trial 14:10 to 16:8 ish! I’m also in week 6 of C25K. I’ve just down my first morning run and am not due to eat for another 4 plus hours. If i hydrate well, should it be ok?

Exercise and IF
If you listen to your body, you'll be OK.
I've been following 16:8 on my running days, and touch wood, I've been OK. I haven't felt weaker without breakfast.
I usually run at 9, then eat at 11:30-12ish. When I'm running I don't feel hungry but certainly do after and have been known to eat "early"
I didn’t eat and I was fine! I guess it’s trial and error. Thanks
Great! Our bodies can do more than we give it credit for
This is very much a "how long is a piece of string" question.
As you have not been IFing, or losing weight for long, your body may not be well into "fat burning mode".
I fast 20:4 and often walk 5km after my last meal.
We have about 2,000 calories in reserve as glycogen - so, you would only have to access energy from your fat reserves after some considerable distance.
Are you going to be drinking plain water?
Energy bars are not "good food" but it might be a good idea to take some form of nourishment with you in case you need it.
I would suggest that you eat plenty (during your eating window) for the first day or three.
Have you changed your energy input to allow for the running?
Thanks S11m I’m not sure your reply was fully to me. I am literally on day 2, so haven’t lost weight and I’m not aiming for 5kg a month! But thanks for the othe pointers.
I am sorry - I confused myself by looking up nazz88 instead of you!
I have edited my response.
If you can, I'd add some strength training to your exercise plan. You don't have to kill yourself
Here's an article I picked at random self.com/story/the-workout-...
Maybe get a set of dumbbells for home - secondhand is OK. I bought/sold a set on eBay many years ago. I'm sure there's still many choices available.
