Am feeling peckish...

And more than 2 hours to go!! :< Can anyone (maybe SimoneHU ?) please recommend me something to tide me over until my luncheon. My peckishness might descend into hanger, and no-one will like me when I'm hangry.

Haha I know exactly how you feel! Sometimes I dilute some veggie stock powder in a cup of hot water and drink, just to feel something salty and warm in my stomach. I don't think it's enough to take you out of the fasting state and should be a good source of minerals.

Thanks for this! I will give it a go and let you know how I get on.

Hi Vesa, a hot drink made with bouillon powder especially the low salt one is a great hot drink and I believe is great for intermittent fasting as the sodium content helps relieve the hunger pangs.

I love a hot drink with low salt bouillon especially if I've had an upset stomach as that can make our bodies run low on electrolytes, which are base sugars and salt. As can strenuous exercise which's why athletes often use electrolytes when training so I guess they could be another option.

At least you haven't got long to wait now...😊

Drink water - or black coffee.

If you are hangry re-direct you hanger into exercise - and go for a walk, run or cycle ride.

I find that adding a teaspoon or two of chia seed to a cold sugar free drink also helps. I mainly drink this in the evening to prevent late night hunger pangs and snacking, after my evening meal. I tend to avoid warm drinks in the evening due to hot flushes 😊 During the day I find drinking lots of water and going for a walk or doing some exercise is most helpful.

I’m quite strict during my fasting period. Nothing but water. If I start to feel hungry before my fasting I drink a big glass of water and then just try to keep busy x
