Is prednisone treatment essential for full recovery?

My Dr didn’t prescribe prednisone since Lyme was suspect and was led to believe a steroid could interfere with the doxycycline. I learned this was false too late... is full recovery possible? I’m at 8mo.

Hi, steroids need to be given within 72 hours to be effective. If you want to email our support team on support@facialpalsy.org.uk we could see if we can help further.

I think it depends on the person. I know of people who didn't have prednisone at all, but made a full recovery in less than a month. I myself took the prednisone within the 72 hours and still had a delayed recovery. I believe 8 months is early enough to still make good improvement. I'm 2 years out and have improved a lot since 8 months.
