I understand that twitching around the eye is quite normal during recovery I'm in week 5 still have this problem.  As for eye watering when you eat/chew again this can be normal during recovery I'm sure this will fade the more you recover...if you concerned always seek professional medical advice to keep any stress/anxiety away

Hi l had read that eye twitching and eye watering were a result of the nerve damage healing differently... As for seeking professional advice well l am not impressed with that, really not very forthcoming at all...... It's making me quite low in spirit. Because it's every time l eat, l cry. Thanks for reply.

My eye got extremely twitchy the week before I started to see real improvements so hopefully this is the case for you too!

Linked or unwanted facial movements during recovery are fairly common but can become a problem.  It is called synkinesis and if it continues I would suggest that you contact your GP and get a referral to a speech and language therapist or a specialist physiotherapist so that a tailor made exercises programme can be made for you.
