Has anyone tried Bowen Therapy for facial palsy? I read some really positive reviews of the benefits people experienced after having sessions. Interested heat if anyone has tried this and what effect it had.

Hi Allan,

I've been having Bowen Therapy with the hope it will help with my Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. I've had 4 sessions now and I feel it has been helping.

I've had a lot of pain thanks to RHS and I was put on too many painkillers to help with the pain, this unfortunately led to aggressive muscle spasms and a severe seizure. I ended up in hospital for a few days, whilst in hospital I had a lumbar puncture which had complications and I then had a blood patch procedure done and spent some more time in hospital.

As a result of all the above, I now have lots of aches and pains all over, in addition to the nerve pain from RHS (although the nerve pain improved quite a bit after the seizure!).

I'm quite a stressed out individual in general and I have severe anxiety too so I tense up a lot!

I find that the Bowen Therapy helps me relax, gives me more energy and in a way boosts my confidence; helps with the anxiety. I feel less tense after a treatment and the aches and pains are not as bad. I feel it has been helping me cope with everything, relax a little and be more patient.

After a session it does feel like my body is releasing the tension, it feels lighter.

I hope this helps.

Please get in touch if you have any questions, I'm more than happy to help where I can.

Elly
