6 year old daughter won’t drink her medicine 😭

I am currently starting disimpaction with my wee girl who has suffered constipation for years now it’s day 11 now and she hasn’t went to the toilet and have started 4 sachets. The problem I’m having is she won’t drink them I’ve said this to doctors on the phone and I’m emergency appointments I’m trying so hard I gave her 2 today to start her off and was planning on giving her another 2 later on but she hasn’t even finished the first lot 😭😭 don’t no what to do feel like no one’s listening

How are you mixing them up? What are you adding them to afterwards? You can literally add them to anything once they have been mixed up with the correct amount of water first. Make the water iced cold, it's much more palatable that way

I add them to orange juice she doesn’t like it with black current or anything I’ve tried putting them in homemade soup chocolate yoghurts no luck

Ice lollies are a really good choice, fruit shoots too. Are you mixing them with the correct amount of water first?

Yeah 😭 it’s hard aswell because she’s never been a big drinker either I’m always trying ways of getting her to drink more even without medicine and she’s always getting the black circles under her eyes when she’s not drank enough

Does anything make your daughter thirsty? My son will drink quite a lot when he’s had some hot doritoes or wotsits!! Failing that I wait while he drinks it and keep on at him till he does. Or how about a little sweetie afterwards to take the taste away. xx

Sounds silly but make up the amount then syringe it into her watch TV or something that will take her mind off then give her a normal drink as she needs to drink lots of say to her she needs to take it as it help her use the toilet .
