How to increase fluid intake of 2yo daughter?

As titled really, our daughter has had issues with withholding and fortunately things have been okay for a few weeks. However, we're trying to drop a feed as she is still very keen on breastfeeding, it is going okay so far but we're noticing that she's taking way less fluids than normal, given she's on a maintenance dose of laxido as well, this is a concern. For example her pee before her nap was very yellow and not great in amount.

We find it a bit odd as sometimes she will drink away, other times, no interest at all, we cannot force her so we just make it available and have always drank loads ourselves.

In short...what can we do?

We have countless bottles and drinking vessels (she can drink from an open cup no problem.). We let her choose which one she wants.

She gets tea, water, milk, juice (heavily watered down cordial.). As mentioned before, it can randomly be feast or famine. We always make lunchtime meal soup now to help with fluids, normally has an ice lolly made from fruit puree too.

Is there anything we can do? Novelty of a new drinking vessel seems to help but that's about it. Would love any advice you can provide as it's only a matter of time before this leads to constipation and withholding again..

Fruit is good, melon, kiwi, pears, peaches, they will also help with constipation too. Smoothies are good as well.

Hi, my 2 year old daughter is also very keen on breastfeeding and not very keen on water. It’s extremely hard! Things that help us are anything that gets her involved - filling up her own cup with water, squeezing orange juice together, letting her choose her cup etc. She often prefers to drink from my glass or bottle too. Straws are good. I also offer her lots of fruit as that contributes to water intake. Other people have also recommended adding slices of orange, strawberry, cucumber or ice to water to make it more appealing. Good luck x

Silly straws, eating crushed ice, medicine syringes, bottle with her name on, bowl of water with a spoon, toy tea set with water (food safe), baby bottles with numbers on see what number you can go to, drinking with straw infront of the mirror with a clear glass to see it going down, one for me one for you games, dolly that drinks and wees.... we have a three year who just won't drink and she's been like this since we stopped breastfeeding at two. You'll get creative and she will eventually get there. My daughter will have good days and bad. Nursey definitely helped, they sit round the table for a cup of water and drink and she joins in. Good luck
