Ongoing poo issues

Hi I need help with my 3 year old son. We completed a disimpaction in March and we are now in pico ( no moviolas at the mo). My son poos continue to be a type 6 since we finished our movicol. I have tired to wean the pico but as soon as I do he stops going for about 3/4 days. I just need to know how to get his poo to a type 4/5 without stopping the pico. Many thanks

I have the same problem, on pico, disimpacted a long time ago to 3 days of water, but couldn’t get above a loose stool. We had an X-ray and was found to be impacted again even with loose stools once a day. We are doing disimpaction again now and have had 3 days of watery poo, 1 day even totally clear water. Then he didn’t go for 24 hrs even when on 20 mg pico & 120mls of dulcosoft. now following day pooing water with pea sized dark hard bits in. I believe that although it looked as though he was disimpacted, there must still have been an impaction that everything is going around. I am going to keep impaction process going for another week and then hopefully he will be clear and we can get proper poos going.

Dirolyte will help with loose stools, its helps replace whats lost in the body. Dosen't taste nice.

Well thank for your suggetion, got some bubbles tried them with s daughter tonight it worked quite well. She is still very constipated. She had to concentrate on doing her bubbles. Lactolose has helped i'v upped the dose. She'll be walking to school all next week so no lazyness.

Plenty fluids and exercise, my daughter has sweet corn every other day. Fig syrup and you can get fig biscuits. High fibre diet has help my child

Hi my little boy who 3 has the same issue he been on movicol for ages and now it's not working its taking days for him to poo and nothing helping x
