Hi I really need some advice please

I disimpacted my 8 year old and now on a maintenance dosage no soiling (about a week now)

Now she’s leaky a bit off poo for the last couple of days. It’s not a lot just a smudge . Is she blocked again???

Help

Sounds like it, did you get to rusty water looking poo? Did you stay there for three consecutive days before you started reducing the doses down very slowly i.e. 1 x sachet every three days?

Thanks for the reply

We got 2 rusty days and doctors told us to reduce after 5 days on sachets

Soiling isn’t everyday it’s here and there

That is very bad advice and it likely that there is still old poo. how quickly did you reduce the doses down by?

The doctor said reduce every 2 days. Eg 12 , 12 and then 10, 10

After couple of days of rusty tea the poo was just explosive and thick poo

I’m jus going by doctors advice. No doctors ever mentioned rusty tea poo . It’s so confusing

Unfortunately Drs are so poorly educated in this. it really is best to achieve rusty water looking poo, you are then sure that the impaction is gone and reducing down by 1 x sachet every 3 days means you will find a good maintenance dose. Explosive thick poo, is old poo and you will still have old poo in the bowel which means you need to increase the doses again to completely clear it out.
