Wondering if anyone else has experienced persistent bed wetting with an older child? My daughter is 8 (9 in June) and still wears pull ups at night. She has never ever had a dry night and is now wetting through the pull up so most days full change of sheets down to the duvet and everything washed daily.
She had medication, a little tablet she put under her tongue at night but had no effect. A bladder scan shows she empties her bladder fully when she goes to the toilet. She also doesn’t drink for at least an hour before bed, doesn’t drink squash as was told it can irritate the bladder.
She is very healthy otherwise, been dry during the day since she was about 18 months old!
I am thinking about trying hypnotherapy does anyone have any experience or is going through the same thing? Thanks in advance x

after 2 daughters with same issue I would suggest the following...1. double void before she goes to bed ie. wee, do her teeth then try again 2. get her up for a wee just before you go to bed....not specifically recommended but we think its helped our 2 have a fighting chance, try to partly wake them up & walk rather than just lift! 3. increase the drink free time to at least 2 hrs before bed 3.purchase some washable bed mats, this just goes over the sheet so you don't have to do a full bed change, you can also buy duvet protectors if necessary 4. purchase a bed alarm ( you can buy them cheapish via amazon , I recommend the dry easy one)….she also does need to stop pull ups i'm afraid!!!
we got 1 daughter dry with this method , the bed alarm worked brill for her but not for our youngest as she always takes her pants off! our other daughter is 8 ,she still wets but much much better & the frequency of full bed wets has reduced a lot. are you on oxybutynin/lyrinel? we have just requested to go up to 15 mg from 10mg of lyrinel (15mg is max dose) just to see if we can crack it. good luck!
