Hi

My 7 year old has never suffered with constipation before she was always regular as clock work, she hasn't been for 12 days now and despite movicol for 5 days nothing is working she eats fruit and drinks prune juice.

Shes on 2 sachets 3 times a day and is now complaining of tummy ache and feeling sick too

Hi, as this post was 2 weeks ago you have probably sorted the issue by now but...

I would get advice from doctor but if you have been put on Movicol then you can probably start it. But it sounds like you need to start the disimpaction regime so start on 4 sachets and up them by 2 everyday day giving a maximum of 12. Once you get 2 days of watery stools then deduct by 2 each day and find the balance dose that works.
