I wanted to post on here because 9 months ago a number of you really, really helped me when I was struggling with my 9 year old daughter who just refused to poo (she was so scared). The problem had been going on and off for 3 - 4 years and I was reaching the end of my tether. I had tried everything and no GP could or would really offer assistance as they inferred it was psychological and 'she'd go eventually'. We endured temper tantrum after temper tantrum and meltdown after meltdown. It actually changed our entire family dynamic for quite some time. We often couldn't leave the house because of it and we frequently had to decline invitations due to the issue.
Nine months down the line she does still have little problems and after-effects but not as bad as it has been. I'm still too scared to say she's cured because she has had relapses in the past.
However I just really wanted to give everyone hope out there. You can sometimes feel so alone as everyone's problems are unique but if you can find that right person or people to talk to, it can help no end.
I hope you are all OK and can find that person to help.
Happy Monday to all xx
