One of the lovely nurses on the Eric helpline emailed me a school health plan specifically for incontinence. It may be on the Eric website. If not, give the helpline a call X

Thank you x

We were incredibly lucky and my daughter's teacher in reception was the SENCO. She said that care plans were not strictly necessary until year one so she (and us) did on at the end of reception to be ready for year 1. I think schools seem to massively vary with what help they provide... There are some care plans on Eric that are very good... Good luck!

(IHCP) Individual Healthcare plans can be used for any situation where the health needs of a child are to be accommodated at school. They are very commonly used for child bladder and bowel issues. She is misinformed, and contravening reasonable adjustments being made. I would talk to SENCO and take in an example from ERIC nurses. We have one in place as informal arrangements were not working for our son and he was coming home wet and not having drunk enough water either.
