My 4 year old son has been complaining about his belly ache for the last 3 days. However he's had yellow loose poos for over a week now. He also looks pale & complaing he's tired (which is not like him at all even if he is tired) I'm just wondering is this normal as I have took him doctors a few months ago for constipation. Could it be related as he's never had such light pops before

4 year old with yellow poo & pale
I’m sorry that your son is feeling so poorly. This is something that you need to see a doctor about in the next day or so, ideally tomorrow. Ring your doctor’s as soon as they open tomorrow, and say that your 4 year old has bad tummy pain, is passing watery yellow poos, and is getting really pale and tired. This should be enough to convince most receptionists that a child needs to be seen, and most doctor’s surgeries keep appointments back during the day for urgent children’s cases. I would really hope they can see you tomorrow, or in the next day or two in their out of hours service. If not then I would have to suggest going to A&E. Whether you go to your doctor or A&E, take, if you can, a small sample of your son’s yellow poo so they can see it - put in in any tub or jar. Also keep a food and drink diary. If he seems to be getting worse in any way overnight or tomorrow, such as really bad pain, high temperature, being confused, not passing wee and so on, then obviously do get him to A&E immediately. This is actually really likely to be something that can be sorted out, but it’s important that your son is seen by a doctor soon. X
Thank u so much for advice really helped. I will do its not quite watery its just loose. But I'll try get one. I will deffinatly phone GPS if can't get one go walk in or a&e. Thank u
Just a thought Lucie but did the Doctor, put him on any Medication, when he was Constipated, and is he still on it? After all, a Medication, to make him Poo, WILL make him Poo. As I said, just a thought. Otherwise, yes take him to the Doctor's ASAP.

I'm sorry to be late on this, but you say that he is pale. Is he pale, or a sort of yellowish color? I know it's been six days since the original post, but if the latter is true, and he has not seen a doctor, get him to A&E asap. it's possible that it is something to do with his liver, and if so, it can be life threatening. I hope all is well and I wish you the best.
His poos are back to normal now and just pale think its due to being tired still in and is still complaing of tummy pain but not sure if he just needs a number 2
I still think you need to take him to the doctor. Look at his gums, the inside of his eyelids and see if they are pale, even white. Him being tired can be due to low red blood cell count. However, pale stool could be a symptom of malabsorption, bile, or liver problems. Check this out and then get an appointment for him. Understand I'm not a professional, but just giving you some quick ideas of what it could be. aboutkidshealth.ca/Article?... Look up pale stool yourself, and you can find plenty of info. The best thing though is call the doctor's office and speak to them or a nurse. They can probably give you a better idea of whether or not it's urgent. I hope all is well.
