a very specific problem

This is very specific problem, this will be quite long since i have to explain things in detail

my daughter is 12 years old, turning 13

i do not wish to get into details but my daughter had to have her arms amputated about last year, we currently cannot get prosthetics for her, but we're doing fine without them at the time being

she can do most things herself fine, i help her out with the other things she can't really do herself

but the one problem with this is that its hard for her to pull her jeans, shorts, or skirt down, so half the time she soils herself when i'm not in/when i'm sleeping

so she ends up soiling herself when i am not there to help her be able to go to the bathroom

so i was curious if anyone here would know how to help this issue?

or should i just accept this is what will happen until we can get prosthetics?

I’m sorry to hear this. My initial reaction is that as your daughter’s soiling is purely caused by now having no arms, would it be better addressed by a charity or forum for those who are, or are caring for, amputees? She can’t be the only one, adult or child, to be in this specific situation? I’m also concerned that, given the situation, you’re not entitled to extra help from a carer to help her at night or when you are not in. That doesn’t seem right. I’m so sorry I can’t offer specific advice but I did want to reply. Would wearing a children’s incontinence product such as the teenage Dry Nites help at all, if you’re not using them already? I really hope you find the specific advice you’re needing.
