Rabbit poo

After some advice. My 5 year old who has suffered from severe constipation and has been under a consultant has not taken movicol for two weeks and his poo has turned to rabbit poo. Is this ok or should I start movicol up again? It was the advice of consultant to stop movicol. Thanks

Hello Deery9,

What you are describing sounds like number 1 on the Bristol Stool Chart (you can google this chart if you are not familiar), and very unpleasant for your child. I would recommend that you immediately increase fluids and fibre and get a call through to your consultant for further advice. I know getting hold of anyone this week is difficult so if you can't reach your consultant, maybe call ERIC for some medical advice. Your poor child does not want this to continue especially over this land holiday weekend. 😭

Wishing you both best of luck.
