We are a student team from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) and we are working on Incontinence products.
Why? Because it is still not an open-subject in our societies even if 1 in 4 women of more than 35 years old is concerned by incontinence! More than 400 millions of people in the world are affected and this includes some of our own relatives like our fathers, our little siblings, our grands parents, our mothers, our children …!
And also, we think that numerous needs are not fulfilled by current products.
We know you are mostly relatives or carers of young children then you know more than anyone the limits of current products. That is why we would like to know more about their (/your) needs, what you would dream for them (and maybe for you too )…
If you are interested to have more information about this project or if you want to share your experience or your special needs with us, feel free to contact us on synergy.project.chalmers@gmail.com (We are looking for people to interview in January ! )
Thank you in advance for your help and your time !

This survey hasn't got much to do with ERIC. In fact some of the questions (lacy, sexy attractive underwear etc) are COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE for a CHILD'S PRODUCT?!
In fact yes, I recognize that the end product is mostly for adults and I am sincerely sorry if these questions bothered you.
BUT by "attractive", we don't only understand "sexy" ! By other means, we spoke to adults who thought it was difficult to wear diapers. But I don't only think of being attractive for others. I thought about the child who would love to spend the night with this cousins, with some other friends from the school ... Or just maybe the child who need to change himself during the day in the sport room to wear his sport-clothes. Thanks God, I will never give a sexy outfit to a child !!
By "attractive", I thought to something to enable them to not feel "non-confident in themself".
I thought that your knowledge or current needs for children could help us to find a good solution for adults AND children. since some people told me they were fed up to always be forgotten since "we always thinks that it only concern older people".
I hope you understood our definition of "attractive". but if you still think that this has nothing to do here, I will delete it right away !
The few things I have seen about ERIC are very good, and I posted this survey here according to the suggestion of a member of ERIC. But i don't want to tarnish the ERIC reputation.
Last but not least, I recognize that I don't "know " what it is to be incontinent ... And I don't have any children yet. Please accept my apologies if my text hurts you by any way.
Regards,
Lucile for the project

It might help to change some of the questions to give options which apply clearly to children as well as adults (eg clarify attractive and lace could mean confidence/look like real pants for children). The survey really does read like it's for adult pants - for women also.
I do a lot of market research and so many questions I had to press 'other' and explain how it would be for a child.
