Hi,

My daughter is 9 and has never managed to be completely dry during the day(night time no problems)we have been seen by go, health visitors, school nurses, enuresis dr and paediatricians all to no avail, had bladder scan done about 2 years ago and was normal, School don’t seem to know how to help and she daily comes homes home wet or soiled, she wets and Poo’s herself when not at school, it’s frustrating having to leave the park because she’s wet, dread her going to friends how to play(did last week and came home pooed) luckily the mum has had a son with similar problems so understands, she was put on moviolas as the say it’s all down to constipation but it’s vile and she was gagging drinking it, I have tried to increase her fluid intake but she’s not great at drinking enough and during school she hardly drinks anything despite me giving her diluting juice( I know water is better.but she doesn’t like it). Kids at school noticing and commenting which doesn’t help, now waiting to see Camhs( psychology) as don’t know what else to do!!

I have the same with my son who is 10. My anxiety levels going out are massive trying to hide all the problems so I know what you mean we are with Camhs but it’s a very very long road with no answers so far.

We are still trying to get urologist involved. Good luck

Hi camhs is a child mental health service, wasn’t keen to go through but don’t feel like I’ve got any choice 😢

Hi

Its not as bad as you think - it’s hard to access the service but we figured seeing a psychologist using play therapy can only help and can’t do harm x Any questions happy to help answer x
