Seizure Alerts

I was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 19.

It was said to be Temporal Lobe Stimulant Sensitive Epilepsy.

I suffer with roughly 4-5 Grand Mal seizures a year.

I would just like to find out if their is a device, a watch an app available to us in South Africa for the times we are alone and no one is around.

To alert us and our loved ones when seizing.

I have found a Seizure Alert Training Program for dogs which is a total of 50k so that is going to have to wait.

A variety of seizure alert assistive devices exist, but sadly these are not yet available in South Africa. This means that you will need to import such a device. Epilepsy South Africa is in the process of investigating importing such devices, but the process is likely to take some time.

You can contact the closest Branch of Epilepsy South Africa by dialing 0860EPILEPSY for further assistance.
