I have had epilepsy all my life and I started with just absences and tonic-clonic's but it has now progressed as i have grown up into myoclonic and focal as well. I am currently 36 years old!

Hi, I have had a very similar experience and now have focal seizures in addition to tonic-clonic seizures.Do you get any warning before onset, I have managed to differentiate the signs in order to know what type of seizure is imminent.

I never know which type of seizure is coming or when it is going to come as I don't get any warning and I don't know what triggers the myoclonic or focal seizures! My main triggers for the tonic clonic seizures are stress, lack of sleep and my period! sometimes I can get myoclonic seizures in the lead up to a tonic clonic seizure!

Yes stress and lack of sleep are my 2 main triggers, I have also noticed if I have any kind of infection they can trigger them too.We can also have seizures that are non epileptic and can be brought on by trauma, have you mentioned these different attacks to your neurologist?

I have not seen my neurologist since 17th June! These other seizures have been occurring since then so no!
