Working
Hi, I have epilepsy and have had uncontrollable seizures for 14yrs and I have found that whenever would be a terrible time to have one I do. Like for instance the day my daughter graduated was my mission to stay calm and not seizure so I could be included in the day and it had been on my mind for months and on the morning of that day at just gone 8am despite feeling ok I had a very severe seizure, collapsed and split my face open. So I can’t help but think it’s almost like the pressure we put on ourselves to be ok causes severe anxiety which goes on to cause a seizure. I think the people at the place you worked at sound so nice. If you do decide to go back to work I hope it goes well for you. Good luck x
Hi Trinity68
I'm sorry to hear you had a number of seizures on the day you were due to go back to your previous employment. That must have been really upsetting for you.
We do know that some things can make seizures more likely for people with epilepsy.
Perhaps if you were feeling anxious or stressed about going into work after such a long time, this may have triggered your seizures. We have more information around triggers here - epilepsy.org.uk/info/seizur....
It sounds like it's a great place to work and they are really keen to have you back. I do hope you get in touch with them again.
