I’m staying to have memory issues at 28 years old. My seizures are mostly control, if I miss meds but I have a really unsteady memory.

I know how you feel, I've been having memory problems ever since I started having seizures in 2013. I've forgotten family names before and even a whole holiday to New York. But there is still nothing to help me understand why or if it is medication that is causing it.

Hi

Lots of people with epilepsy have memory problems. Sometimes these are caused by the epilepsy itself, or as a result of a seizure, but they can also be caused by side effects of some epilepsy medicines. Have a look at the memory pages on our website:

epilepsy.org.uk/info/memory

Our advice would be to talk to your epilepsy doctors about your memory problems, so that they can re-assess your epilepsy and treatment.
