My dad has Parkinson's and cannot walk but to pivot. He dies have a few seizures every so often. They are the type where he stares ,drools , stiffens and can arch his back to almost make him slip out of chair.

He really wants an electric wheelchair ( not a scooter) because he can't use his arms to wheel himself anymore. His Drs. Have declined to allow this. He only has these seizures when he gets stressed and maybe has one or two a month if that. He lives at an assisted living facility and they have very thick carpet on floors so he just doesn't have the strength to use his regular wheelchair by himself. He gets depressed and feels like a burden. I feel it would be good to let him have one at a very low speed just so he can go outside in courtyard , meals, and activities. When he waits for tye CNA to come get him it's usually too late. Do you think this would help him and how do we get one for him that his insurance and V.A. benefits will cover
