So...I'm 20 and have recently been diagnosed with endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome which my gynaecologist has told me is just extremely unlucky. I've not had regular periods since I started when I was 15...in fact, irregular is an understatement as I've probably bled every six months or so! I've only recently in the past 6 months or so started to have pain so I'm glad I've not had to wait a long time to be diagnosed. What I actually wanted to ask though, is has anyone else got both endo and pcos? And if so, how difficult was it to conceive or have you been able to at all? This is something that's a massive concern for me as although I'm only 20, I know 100% that I want to have children in the next 5-7 years.

Hi- I don't normally post on here but I also have pcos and endo. I have 2 healthy children- the first took about 9 months of trying (at that stage I didn't have any diagnosis but all symptoms) and it was only after trying for my second that I had a lap etc. she took just under 2 years and fertility drugs to help. So not impossible but certainly didn't happen over night for us. Luckily I don't have a lot of the weight issues that tend to come with pcos but I did start eating better and lost about half a stone before conceiving. I also started going to a herbal medicine practitioner and conceived the month after staring taking her herbal mix - could be coincidence but I can't help feelin it helped to settle my hormone imbalance. Good luck in the future- at least you have a diagnosis as if you need mess and help you will get them sooner! X
