Has anyone been to the endometriosis centre at UCLH London? If so how have you found it and has the support you have received been good?

My gynae is the lead of the endo centre there, George Pandis and he is brilliant. I've seen him private though, but all the doctors in that team are experts! x

Hi, yes I have been going there for years, a very good team. Mr George Pandis and Alfred Cutner are very good speacialist Gynea's. In fact the all the staff at the endo clinic are very sympathetic and understanding.

Yes I went there recently for the first time and it was brilliant. I spent almost an hour with the nurse going through my history, all the staff there are great and really give the impression they care and want you to get better.

I was under George Pandis there for a little while before I moved - he was very nice. I think they have a pretty set treatment route though which involves surgery so if you're not a candidate for surgery for any reason and you need ongoing help with hormonal treatments and so on then they're not quite as set up for that. Mr Pandis told me that I didn't really fit in with their usual patients as I didn't want any more surgery and they weren't really set up for longterm support - but that wasn't to say that they wouldn't help as much as they could, it was just a bit trickier.

However, if you need or want a lap, they're very skilled as far as I'm aware.

Hey thanks for replying that's very useful to know, i've already had a laparascopy where i had endometriosis and polyps removed but have not received any aftercare/advice from the consultant as he basically said his job is done which was very helpful of him!!

Can we just walk in the endometriosis centre or by appointments.

I think you need to call, if you google the UCL endo clinic and e.g. the name of George Pandis, you will find the page with all the phone numbers x

The clinic runs a walk in clinic, along with appointments.

They have a drop in service but I think it's by referral only - I was referred down there when I was an inpatient, and I had to fill in some forms, then they sent me an appointment as they were really busy.
