This is a big op, please make sure you have enough help when you come out, maybe you want to cook and put the food in the freezer for your ease. And maybe get some help in the home, no housework, no lifting, pain killers likely to be needed.

I had this surgery it was not what was planned but did happen. They took out big growth of adenmyosis and fibroids, I guess it helped a bit as with the pregnant size tummy at menses time, but I have a whole bag of other things going on. I think they can give medicines to shrink it....

The doc said after having the womb cut open need to have elective c-section if I ever have pregnancy.

I used a wrap to support my tummy after surgery to stop me walking around holding it, it helped somewhat, they told me to support my wound. I'm not sure where the usual cut is my is vertical however I have had a horizontal one too.

I hope and wish you the best of procedures and recovery. Take it easy xx

Hi, what to expect? If you are having a lap to discover adenomyosis you will experience lots of wind afterwards, and your tummy will have a little bruising and will be swollen and passing water and solids will be a little uncomfortable for a couple of weeks. You will feel tired for a few days but you will get your results fairly quickly. *Please be aware* The only positive way to see adenomyosis is by colour doppler MRI scan.
