I am so fed up with so called 'professionals'

Here I tell you why you shouldn't give up when the professionals ask stupid questions!

I'm still stunned that no gynae consultant has ever suggested diet changes to me after all these years. I am gradually working out what not to eat but viewing it as positive in having more veggies etc, rather than thinking about what I can't have. I feel so much better already (after nearly 5 months) that I am not tempted to go back only to step it up.

Some of your recipes look great. Will try. x

I wish more women would think like that, It's hard to think that changing your diet can help with pain when the pain is so intense and you are just thinking about the next pill to try and get it to go away.

My Dr told me that i had ibs and that diet would not make a blind bit of difference!, and now so has my dietitian!! what is wrong with these people? It doesn't help anyone when we get information as conflicting as this!

I'm so glad I did trial and error too, because i would probably still be in one big pile otherwise.

Let me know how you get on x

Hi Guys

I've had endo for years and years and I recently changed my diet and I have seen a massive improvement. I also called a qualified nutrionist who came round last night infact and she talked me through certain food groups and certain vitamins. I personally feel a balanced diet also helps the cramping and pain immensely.

Give it a go, you'll obviously need to try a cetain foods/diet for a few months and see how your body reacts, but a change in diet has improved my pains in just a month.

Marshmallow, just looked at your blog for the first time...it's amazing! You should be really proud!

I still don't know if I have endo, awaiting diagnosis, but have had IBS or so I thought for 10 years and have found many "triggers"

Excuse my niavity, but how does diet effect endo, really want to learn more to see if I can help with pain and be pro-active xxx

Hello Lillil, Thank you so much that is really kind of you.

Exactly I find that we have to do it ourselves as noone is the same, the more you can find out about your body and your triggers the more likely you'll invite change into your diet to improve I think, well it works for me to think that food causes me pain I do not want to eat it.

You are not naïve at all lovely everyone has to start somewhere and it seems your on the right track already, here is a link to a understand the diet and which foods and why to avoid them, which will probably make sense to you as you already can tell you have trigger foods

Thank You that really, really helps! I don't know if I have endo or not, but believe I have...it all seems to add up and make sense. I've been feeling so alone and tearful, until I found this site...it really shows what people can achieve together and is so empowering! and educational! Am trying to stay positive, but so hard, I just want to get to the bottom of it. Today I rung up the gynae secretary to find out waiting list times for my appointment and they hadn't even got the referral yet! Everyday is a battle and exhausting. I think my family and friends think i've become obsessed by the whole thing, but am just searching for answers. I spoke to Gp on phone today as i could hardly walk on Friday as in so much pain and he has just prescribed me tramadol for bad days...I don't want stronger painkillers, I want to get to the bottom of it. I'm so scared they will say it's not endo too.Not that i want it, but already been under a urologist as they initially thought was kidney pain. Sorry to rant...as i'm sure you know, hard to explain to others. Thank you for your reply. Hope you are having a good day :-) Do you mind me asking after they removed adhesions if you still got pain? That's what Drs think i have as get period type pains when pass urine, open bowels or for no reason at all xxx
