Time delay between scan and seeing consultant

I have to have a scan which I presume needs to be done before I see the consultant but how much time is needed between the two ie could you have them both during the same week?

If the scan is done in the same hospital/area, than you can have the results even on the same day if there is any urgency. So yes, the scan and the consultant following can be done in the same week.

When I had my last scan I saw my consultant about 10 minutes after I had the scan.

i know scan results can be seen instantly almost but whenever i have scans etc it takes around 2 wks to get back to my gp, and then she has to do the gynae consultant appointment.....takes forever but is pretty standard for this area xx
