So for the past 6 months or more I’ve been having a lot of pain during sex as well I’ve been having extreme pain and spotting after, lately I’ve started to be in a lot of pain after and it makes me start my “period” (heavy bleeding and a lot of pain) which is not typical for my periods. I have suspected ectropion cervix however it’s not confirmed and not all my symptoms point towards it, is cervical cancer out of the picture? My cycle is irregular and i usually have spotting thoughout my cycle, I’m not on birthcontrol however I was on it for about 3 years until about 5 months ago, I also had the IUD but got it taken out due to complications.
any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated I’m only young and I haven’t had kids or anything yet so any tips will be helpful, thankyou!

Hello, do you have an Endometriosis or Adenomyosis diagnosis?
I ask because these symptoms mirror mine, I also had a cervical ectropion, pain during sex, bleeding post and bleeding sporadically daily.
I recently had surgery where they treated the ectropion and said this should stop the bleeding but unfortunately I’m still bleeding every day. It’s now looking like this is due to Adenomyosis. The pain during sex was explained as an issue caused by my uterus being attached to other organs.
Have you had a colposcopy for the cervix? They should have you in to biopsy cells to double check everything is ok. I had an unbelievably painful one which confirmed there were no cancerous cells. (My trust in them is rock bottom at the moment so there’s always that niggle). You’re not alone xx
I did have suspected endometriosis but recently there hasn’t been any found but I do have minor PCOS which hasn’t caused me much pain and doesn’t really explain the bleeding but I will definitely look into Adenomyosis, I had a cervical exam which is how we found the Ectropion but I haven’t had any paps or further testing done xx
Hi there, I can't speak in terms of all the things you are experiencing but I feel my medical journey to an endo diagnosis might be helpful for you.
I went because I started having pain during sex, then pain and spotting unrelated to my periods then pain everyday that woke me up in the night.
Went to the doctor - she was obsessed with the chance I could be pregnant. By the time I went to see her I hadn't had sex in 9 months, which I said she then said let's do a pregnancy test. Maybe she thought I was in denial or something.
Test came back negative so she said it's probably PCOS and sent me away. I read up about PCOS diagnosis and went straight back to doctors.
Saw a different doctor told her what happened. She examined me and said let's do an ultrasound. She mentioned specifically transvaginal as I had mentioned the possibility of endometriosis.
Wait for ultrasound go for ultrasound.
Told by nurses at ultrasound that I had drunk enough water so didn't need the transvaginal that I had inquired about. So I said but that's what the doctor told me I'm having and need to have. They said sorry nothing we can do it's not on the paper work that your having that.
Got all clear in my results. So went back to the GP said what's next. They then decided to send me to gynecology. Where I had a couple of consultations and then laparoscopy and got my endometriosis diagnosis.
It's an endless battle of fighting for yourself but it has to be done. Your health matters, doctors are human and make mistakes. My mother suspected endo when I was 16 took 15 years for a diagnosis partially because doctors don't know everything (they are human so I don't expect them to) but also because I didn't fight hard enough for myself.
You got this you can get them to help you it just takes time 😊 please don't give up you deserve to be pain free.
