Hi, really difficult to write this I’ve recently had to leave my work because after many years of being told that I might just be constipated, just happen to have recurring kidney infections/UTI’s and pain in my left side was probably nothing to be concerned about. I finally had a pelvic scan that showed I have a hemotometra in my endometrium on *shocker* my left side.
This was almost a year ago now, I’ve since got worse and now use mobility aid, heat pad/bottles and am on mefenamic acid and cocodamol when it’s really painful. Although I still get pain after taking these. Apparently I’m likely to wait another 11 weeks just to discuss my scans but was wondering if anyone had a similar experience?
Also obviously I’m naturally hesitant using cocodamol for a long time and was wondering if anyone had first hand experience with medical cannabis at all?

Sorry the pain is so bad, I can relate unfortunately.
I have tried cannabis, on prescription, but found it does pretty much the same as Oramorph and that’s free as on UC. In preference I would have probably stuck to cannabis but it isn’t cheap.
I’ve been on Oramorph since 2020 and not addicted, I stopped it a couple of years ago for several months to prove to Gastro it wasn’t that causing constipation, he sorted if accepted it. I did start again as it helps the pain, at least takes the edge off. If pain is genuine there tends to be less of a risk of dependence on opiates, I’m not addicted and not clock watching for next dose unless the pain is getting unbearable.
