I have had pain in my tummy from when I was around 20 years old and I am now 29..
Previously gps thought it was a bowel issue and I have had a lot of tests done including an ultrasound in 2015 age 20.
I believe I have had other ultrasounds and nothing found. Anyway after requesting an ultrasound in the last few days they have found an endometria 3cm on left ovary and suspected endometriosis. Since the scan I have been in constant pain and pain is worse than before. I went to an and e and I have another scan with them on Monday. I have a referral to gynaecologist at another hospital trust. On Monday I will have a scan and speak to gyneo doctor.
I’m so sick of being always in pain and worried about taking time off work. Please help, at wits end and don’t know what to do. Worried about waiting lists being too long and having to wait months for proper referral and maybe any treatment..

Hi, Sorry your going through this. It can be a long journey to get answers and treatment. Can the GP prescribe some pain relief whilst your awaiting gynae or consider alternatives if what your on is not working? x
Hiya, I’ve been there, and remember the pain well 😖 your GP should be able to prescribe NSAIDs for the pain e.g. Naproxen or similar. It’s not a long-term solution of course, but should help while investigations are underway x x
Hi both, thank you <3 I will ask tomorrow at the consultation.. At the moment I’m not on any treatment, I’m thinking about going on the combined pill again if they offer me options but not sure that will help if already have a cyst.. I think they are looking to see if the cyst has ruptured otherwise they probably won’t do anything but at least will have consultation about hopefully medication and pain management. I’m just worried about taking time off work and it impacting on my career.
