endometriosis’flare’

hello,

I wondered if anyone could offer some advice or support. I have been really really struggling with right sided abdominal pain, gripey stomach, back pain, nausea, fatigue and can’t stop going to the toilet. It’s been like this now for over a week. I had excision surgery over 12 months ago but I’m feeling so poorly and really weak.

I went to the GP for some support but they didn’t really offer any advice other than ‘it’s probably a flare, it will pass’

hi this is my frist time response. If I may , do u notice your affected more in winter? An where exactly ( up down area of your abdomen do u feel it? I sounds as if you have a lot of air and gas trapped!and some build up on lining of ur tummy! Especially if u eat and then go to the loo. Body not absorbing anything. I have reflux feed herina hiatus . When I had surgery I felt lot of wind it me after ward, bubbles gripping cramping stitches like pain when breathing. Try some ginger tea, soup for few days wee back on to food lots of tea mash potatoes small portions slowly strengthen back you core. Try stay away from acidic foods apples fruit juices if u can lots of water will help shift pain gas when u feel it drink water plain food and keep

Tummy covered warm moistures tummy could be bruised too can take up to 3 month to heal . I home I got u message perceived right. It what I do when I feel like how u are as I often have flare ups of this in winter . I hope

U can understand my gibberish and something in there helps hope u feel better soon

Sorry to hear you are feeling so lousy. Some things that used to help me:

- reducing salt intake: For some reason the salt would bloat me more and increase the pain

- stay hydrated

- Ibuprofen - worked wonders. All other pain relievers did absolutely nothing but Ibuprofen (Advil in the US) was like magic

- Have a little something sweet if you need a temporary pick me up to get you through an important meeting or something you need to do.

- Make sure you don't skip meals to keep your energy up.

- Discover which foods make things worse and minimize or eliminate.

- Journaling - This is a surprising one but sometimes writing out how you are feeling, things you are angry about that you've shoved down into your unconscious, and anything that comes to mind, having a written conversation with your younger self can make you feel much better.
