Prostap side effects

Hi all, hope you're all doing well!I started prostap on the 18th of September and today had my third injection. It's only prescribed for 6 months. When did people notice the menopausal symptoms kicking in?

I've only noticed that I'm sweating a little more but other than that no other side effects. should I just count myself lucky or will they be kicking in soon?

Thank you 😊

I'm counting myself lucky then! Been given HRT to take but not needed it. I had the worst flare up after my first jab though. 🙈

I definitely will. Sleeping isn't great at the moment but I didn't put it down to the prostap 🙈

Hi I've just had my fourth injection last week, I've had a few extra hot flashes/ night sweats, but nothing else. I too was prescribed tibolone hrt but I've not needed it yet. Even bought one of those pre payment prescriptions for hrt but ah well, I'd rather not take it if not needed. Hope you have a lovely day x

I had a few hot flushes and insomnia but was given hrt patches and I've never felt better. Been on monthly injections since June, going to be on them until next summer when I'm booked in for a full hysterectomy.

I've been on prostab since August 2022. I found that symptoms kicked in after about 2 weeks. I was prescribed tibolon, but just cannot get on with it. It makes me turn into the incredible hulk!I don't mind the hot flushes, find stress makes them worse! The thing that does frustrate me is the brain fog and I get some food aversion.

I'm likely to be on it for another 18 months while I wait for surgery. Not sure what type of surgery I'll have yet though!

You're definitely lucky with your symptoms. I do hope it's helping your endo symptoms though x

I had a 6 month course of Prostap plus Tibolone HRT, didn’t have a great experience. After the first injection I had a period within the first month but then no further periods. In the first 2 weeks I had quite severe symptoms (fatigue, extreme dizziness, nausea, hot flushes, headaches) but had expected them as it’s quite a huge hormonal change, they mostly dissipated though. But at the 3 month stage I started getting new symptoms that were really debilitating, really bad joint and muscle pain! I was struggling to just walk up stairs at home! I don’t have arthritis of any type. I came of the Prostap and Tibolone at six months, the joint and muscle pain stopped.
