I’ve just been told that I’ve got adenomyosis last week and cyst on left ovary.
I’ve been referred to gynaecologist to check out the cyst to rule out anything sinister.
I never heard of adenomyosis so I googled and was rather surprised because the symptoms I was having is quite different from adenomyosis
Back back and left side from head to toe aches, headaches, left shoulder blade really hurts at all times. Heart palpitations but controlled with beta blocker and also I’m on HRT.
I believe the symptoms which I am going through is endometriosis but adenomyosis ?
I’m waiting for an appointment to see the gynaecologist I don’t know what to expect but I am hoping the cyst is nothing too serious.
Is there anything I need to know or ask gynaecologist about adenomyosis ?
Thanks so much

I also have adenomoysis and don’t have the typical symptoms. However I also had a left sided cyst (endometrioma) and I had lots of left sided discomfort. Back, sciatic, groin, leg all uncomfortable on that side. I also suffered menopause symptoms like night sweats. It all improved when it was removed.
