Sorry to hear your first two rounds of IVF were unsuccessful - I know only too well the rollercoaster of emotions when going through the IVF process. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo when I was undergoing investigations for infertility. I had a laparoscopy to remove the deposits of endometriosis about 6 months before my first round of IVF and was so lucky that it was successful. Some five years later (following further rounds of IVF which were unsuccessful) I had surgery to remove an ovarian endometrioma. Around 6 months after that surgery I fell pregnant naturally (when I had totally given up on the idea that I would have a second child). I can only speak from my own experience but I do think that the surgery made a difference.
Whatever you decide, focus on eating well and minimising stress (I know - not easy when you're going through fertility treatment!) Even something like a 5-minute meditation a day, regular walks in nature or simple breathing techniques such as box breathing will make a real difference to how you cope with the process.
Hi Asala - what protocol were you on for the IVF? Might be worth looking at a different protocol. I'm on my second round of ultra-long protocol which is aimed at those with endo. It was successful last time - unfortunately I miscarried but it's the furthest I'd got! Perhaps worth looking into. I also had surger as well before the ultra-long - I'm not sure whether it was that or the protocol that made a difference...
