I was wondering if anyone had any longer pain than usual if you were on your period at the same time as catching covid? I have 2 endometrioma cysts and it varies each month on the level of pain and symptoms I get. but I found during covid I had the same ache in my ovaries/general whole region during my bleed, then constant for a week after I finished bleeding along with bloody discharge. I'm not sure if it's just my endo or whether covid has made it worse. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance xx

Hi I found covid caused a resurgence of post surgery pelvic pain. Covid is an inflammatory disease. So it would also make any inflammation in the body worse. I checked this with my GP, who also confirmed it makes any aches / pains worse.
Hi, yes my period arrived just as I tested positive for Covid and I think it was more painful and definitely added a couple of days to the bleeding. I was completely wiped out by the experience and it took a good 3 weeks to get over it. I have wondered if it was the combination of the 2 that made it so bad as I’m not in any of the risk groups for Covid.
That could make sense as to why you got it so bad, as endo effects you in so many different ways so covid would make you feel worse on top of that! So interesting!
