Endometriosis & IVF - advice on specifics to watch out for & pain relief

I’ve just joined this group after the most excruciating pain ever through my endometriosis. I’m going though IVF for the first time & am currently awaiting my transfer - I have 3 embryos that are at Day 2, so praying they get to Day 5 so the transfer can happen. I have low ovarian reserve too so I don’t have the luxury of trying out lots of different approaches -we’re amazed we have these 3!

I’m terrified the implantation won’t work due to these awful cramps. An additional worry is that I can’t even manage the pain for fear of affecting my endometrium. Does anyone have any advice on either pain management or going through IVF with the condition?

Hi there,

I have stage 4 endo and I've had ivf (icsi) 5 times. The transfers were ok ,not to uncomfortable, I had slight cramping for a few days which I took paracetamol for and it helped . All of mine implanted however I can't seem to get past the 8 week stage..I've had tests done to find out why but there is no reason for it. The cramps are completely normal. Bearing in mind they are putting a long catheter inside your uterus which should not be there then obviously removing it. Good luck with it all and take care and relax.
