A friend is looking for a speaker (who has endo) who is willing to speak of their own experiences in a event about invisible illnesses. I couldn't think of someone. Is there anyone that you would recommend?
It doesn't have to be in person, they're happy to allow the person to join via video link
My friend is very keen to have endo represented which is great so all suggestions welcome
Thanks 😊

Hello! I would be happy to take part, looking for a network of women with the same condition. I was diagnosed in Feb 2021. However, I have had the condition since the age of 12. I am now 22 in my final year of University.
Hello, Thanks for your message. I've sent your message to my friend and will get back to you once I've heard from her. I should say this is for an event at a law firm to highlight invisible illnesses so it won't provide a network of women with endo. x
Why not contact the Team at 'Endo UK' who host this site on on 'Health Unlimited'. See their contact details, top right, and just email/phone, they may have a senior member in your area who can do this.
Also, they may already have an informal 'Endo UK Support Team' running in your area. This is usually 2 ordinary women from near where you live, who have been through all of this, themselves, and who know the 'ropes' and the Drs etc. in your area, and have been trained by 'Endo UK' to help and advise. I live in Devon and there is a Group in Totnes, and another in Plymouth.
Hope this helps: as I know from bitter experience, it's a long time to wait from teen until menopause!!!
Thank you. My friend has contacted Endo UK and is awaiting a response. We wanted to widen the ney as there's many that won't be in contact with them but regardless would be great for this take.
Yes, it can be an awful long wait. I was lucky but I know many aren't.
Hi, I am happy to present my condition and the factors that contribute plus the support required. I am in my 30's and have been suffering with Endo since my teens. I have presented this at my work (in healthcare) alongside HR to highlight the problems. Happy to help. Really impressed your friend is has added this for her agenda
