Hi ,

I’ve been on Zoladex for 7 months now, however, today out of nowhere I began bleeding heavy and bad pain flare.

Has anyone else ever experienced similar ?

Thanks I’m advance x

I have had the similar and went to A&E in an ambulance. Mine was bladder pain and pressure and a lot of bleeding. After waking in the night suddenly to go to the toilet. two nights on the trot.

What I think can happen is as: it switches your ovaries off, over time, the Endo is partially starved off as there is no hormone to keep feeding it. Although I know it can live on its own inside the body.

This is my explanation after trying to research it. Seeing my consultant who just said it was the Endo. I might be totally wrong.

You could always inform the Secretary of your Consultant.

I hope this helps. Much love and sorry you’re flaring x

I’ve been having a lot of pressure around rectum and finding it hard to pass urine (apologies tmi). I don’t know what to do. I’ve had to miss work and all my GP will give me is Tranexmic acid and Mefanimic. My GP has informed my Gynae Consultant. I’ve got on so well with this injection until now. Thanks for replying.

X

Oh that’s awful and really scary for you. Hopefully your Manager is understanding. My heart goes out to you lovely.

Hope this helps you:

In my case, my second opinion Consultant who is a BGSE Endo Specialist has referred me for a camera into my bowel (very scared about that). And to see a gyno-urinary nurse for bladder symptoms.

I wonder if…..as the injections switch off the ovaries and then where there’s Endo struggles, as the hormones feed it. I know it ultimately forms it’s own life source eventually - this is my theory on no medical training.

I went to A&E in an ambulance sudden bladder pain in the middle of the night and bleeding on Zolodex/tibilone HRT and a Mirena in.

So I know they will get you sorted but when?! The waiting can be really tough mentally at times. With good and harder days and some truly awful ones.

Sending love as you navigate this 💗

Oh god that sounds so frightening!

I was just so taken back by the pain and bleeding as I had such good 6 months on Zoladex.

I had read up on that theory and it looks like that’s what happened.

My consultant is going to see me on Monday but it feels like such a long time away in pain.

The pain is semi under control with a lot of meds but I can’t work on those meds.

It’s just so difficult.
