Hello all hope your ok 💛

I’m going through a really bad time at the minute flare ups regularly affecting my work etc a particularly bad one today I’m in agony feel like a heavy weight is on my stomach, really bad pains down my right leg too, I was wondering is anyone else finding they can’t get much support because of covid, I can’t seem to even get a phone call with my GP at the minute I know things are bad but I just feel everything is being brushed under the carpet, I’ve tried pain meds regularly, heat pads etc but this flare up is causing me lots of problems I feel like I need a bit more support.

Can anyone suggest anything to help in the meantime willing to try anything.

Sorry for waffling hope this makes sense I’m so exhausted from the pain.

Joely x

Sorry to hear you're going through a bad time. I'm in the same boat last night was particularly bad. I want to get a drug on prescription to see if that can help more with the pain. I phoned up my surgery (even though it says on their website to send in an econsultant first etc.) I told receptionist that I really need an emergency consultation on the phone so she booked me in for today. My plan is to be very clear with the GP. I know my condition and I believe this prescribed drug might at least take some of the pain away, and just ask him straight that I need to pick up the medication asap. I'm going to be persistent with it.

Generally I'm finding that my GP surgery are quite good at seeing me even at the moment, and it was very quick last night when I explained to her my reason for calling. She booked me in for next day available call.

I've also managed to get success speaking to a local hospital doctor eventually through 111.

I will be honest though, has taken me years to eventually get taken seriously. For years I went to GP and they never wanted to explore the possibility of endometriosis. Eventually I was taken into A&E because I had a really bad episode (another long story), and that started the ball rolling for my laporoscopy etc.

I do hope you find someone to help you very soon and you can help the pain x

I am so sorry to hear that you are really struggling, I hope your appointment went well with the GP, I have two excellent GPs who will do their upmost and support as much as possible but it’s getting past the receptionists they literally don’t care and I keep getting nowhere with them.

I’ve had new symptoms develop these last 3 days and today in particular has been a difficult one I’m hoping if I keep persisting with GP they may eventually give me an appointment/phone call.

Hope your not suffering too much xx
