I’m new to all this but I’ve been struggling with pain for a fair few years now. I’ve recently found out both Fallopian tubes are blocked, I’m still undiagnosed with Endometriosis at the minuet as I keep been told I’m too young to have a Lap!
I’m in absolute agony at the minuet, I’m currently taking tramadol 50mg 4 times a day as long as paracetamol and Mefenamic acid and it’s not helping at all....As well as been on Antisickness long term as I struggle with nausea quiet a lot.
Was told my fertility could be affected due to the tubes been blocked which to be fair in my early 20s is a lot to come to terms with. Pain relief wise does anyone else know what I could take?? It’s taken me months to get my GP to prescribe me something stronger then paracetamol so now I know I’m gonna struggle getting anything stronger but I’m finding it so hard to get through work every day with been in pain but I also don’t want to be out of it when I’m working 🤦🏻♀️

I know it’s hard to keep nagging away at the GP but given the amount of pain relief you’re needing, surely it would make sense for you to pursue a diagnosis. Is it gynaecology who are saying you are too young for a laparoscopy? Could you ask for a referral to a specialist endo team? Sorry I am not much help, my own experience was being diagnosed when I was quite a bit older, but I do know that for most people with endo, sadly it is a long struggle to get a diagnosis and then get treatment that works.
Just had a look at the NICE guidelines, and there is no reference at all to age affecting referral for laparoscopy! If pain is not responding to paracetamol and NSAID which yours isn’t, you should be referred to Gynaecology.
